THROUGH OUR EYES 2012 / 2013

THROUGH OUR EYES is celebrating it's 20th year of showcasing some of Jacksonville and surrounding communities most talented artists. I think this exhibit will be one for the history books.  The artists selected for this exhibit is given the task to create art outside of what they would normally do.  It is a perfect time for me to showcase my "Disk Sculptures."  I hope you will join us for this special occasion.  The show opening exhibit is Thursday Dec. 13th  and will start 5:30pm - 7:30pm  (Free Admission on opening night)

TOUCH

I'm still working on this 30 inch 3D piece which will hang on the wall.

What's on my easel you asked?

What I am working on now is this little guy to be added to my never ending series of angels.  Stay tuned.  I have not given this one a name at the moment but it is a 16 x 20 oil on my textured hardboard.

The Ulitmate Act of Love

If you have been following my personal journey as an artist, you should know by now that my creative process shifts like the wind.  Sometime I can be serious about the work I do as an artist and sometime "A girl just want to have fun."
I've completed six abstract paintings I call "Qart" (art based on the QR code).
My inspiration you ask?  Technology! They are all based on that awesome little black and white image that has attached itself to just about everything you buy. They call it the QR bar code. Yes, the one you scan with your bar code app scanner.
Go ahead.  You can scan the image right now to see the true meaning of this piece.
