The Ulitmate Act of Love

If you have been following my personal journey as an artist, you should know by now that my creative process shifts like the wind.  Sometime I can be serious about the work I do as an artist and sometime "A girl just want to have fun."
I've completed six abstract paintings I call "Qart" (art based on the QR code).
My inspiration you ask?  Technology! They are all based on that awesome little black and white image that has attached itself to just about everything you buy. They call it the QR bar code. Yes, the one you scan with your bar code app scanner.
Go ahead.  You can scan the image right now to see the true meaning of this piece.

I call this one "Daddy's Girl."
This series of work starts with a 20" circle. Why 20" circle you ask?  I'ts the size of my garbage can lid.  Why a circle?  I'll tell you later.
I've been very busy this summer working on some 3D art and can not wait to show off what Iv'e been doing.
I have now completed four more new pieces which I will be posting soon.

A "3D" moment in my career

This is the second wooden sculpture in a series.  I want to turn part of my attention away from the 2D towards the 3D.  Working in the 3Dementional is a little more challenging than working in the 2D.  Each piece I complete is extremely satisfying and I seem to get a little better with each one.

A Brush With Nature

"Lake View"
The Paint Out at the Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens this weekend was a great opportunity for me to see if I could "Hang" with some of this region's top notch plein air landscape artists.  This was a first for me and I did get 6 paintings completed over the 3 days in "the woods."  37 artists over 3 days created some very beautiful works of art to help raise funds for this wonderful nature trail.  Many thanks to all who play a roll from the beginning to the end to help make this event possible and especially the "Art Buyers."
